Chisinau, 2 June /MOLDPRES/ - A Children’s Town was inaugurated in the western Ungheni city on 1 June, when the International Children’s Day was marked. The creation of this entertainment park was possible due to the cooperation between the administrations of the cities of Ungheni and Cluj Napoca (Romania).
“Thanks to an exceptional cooperation between the city halls of Ungheni and Cluj Napoca, the small residents of Ungheni enjoyed a wonderful gift: Small Cluj – a nice space for games, leisure and entertainment. Children represent our most valuable wealth and they deserve considerable investments to develop and grow up happily,” sources of the Ungheni municipality said.
Attending the inauguration event, the head of the Ungheni-based Romania’s Consular Office, consul Petru Litiu congratulated children and parents on the International Children’s Day and conveyed a congratulatory message on behalf of the Cluj Napoca city mayor, Emil Boc. The official wished the young Ungheni residents “an as nice as possible future, chances, prosperity and dreams which should come true.”
For his part, Ungheni mayor Alexandru Ambros thanked the partners from Cluj for the brotherly support. “For several years, we have established collaboration relations with the Cluj Napoca city. And this cooperation is real, productive, with attitude and dedication, proved by deeds and not by words. We can state with certainty that we have reliable partners in Cluj,” Alexandru Ambros said.
The Children’s Town, Small Cluj, is part of a large-scale project, which sees restoration and modernization of the Central Park from Ungheni, worth about 800,000 euros. About 100,000 euros has been earmarked from the public budget of the Cluj Napoca city for Children’s Park.
