Over 400 drivers fined for speeding

Chisinau, 15 June /MOLDPRES/- More than 400 drivers were fined yesterday for exceeding the speed limit on the country's routes.
Natalia Golovco, a press officer of the National Patrol Inspectorate, said the violations were detected by radar equipment on several roads in the country.
Of the total number of drivers who have violated the speed regime, more than 50% have exceeded the speed up to 20 km / h.
According to the legislation, drivers who exceed the legal speed limit are sanctioned by a fine of up to 1,500 lei with five penalty points.
