Chisinau, 17 August /MOLDPRES/ – The law on veterinary medicines was published in the Official Journal of Moldova today.

The document comes to ensure the local market with efficient and qualitative veterinary medicines by regulating entrepreneurial activity in registration, manufacture, import, storage, distribution and release of veterinary medicinal products on the market of Moldova.

The design requirements for labelling and package leaflet of veterinary medicines, pharmacovigilance programme as well as surveillance measures and sanctions applied are laid down within project. For it, there are established tasks of the National Agency for Food Safety (ANSA) and Commission of veterinary medicines (CMV).

According to authors, the project implementation will contribute to adjustment of national legislation with Community legislation, thus eliminating technical barriers in foreign trade.

This law shall enter into force six months after the date of its publication in the Official Journal of Moldova.
