Chisinau, 8 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Organ Hall will mark the 40th anniversary of its inauguration and the 30th one of the foundation of the National Chamber Orchestra with a festive concert, due on 19 September. The event will mark the beginning of the 2018-2019 concerts’ season.

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the Organ Hall’s director, Larisa Zubcu, has said that these two anniversaries represented important benchmarks for the institution. “We are proud of the fact that, during 40 years, the Organ Hall has managed to carry out nice things. During the four decades, a string of world famous artists have performed on our stage. We hope that things will be like this in continuation as well,” Zubcu added.

All artistic forces of the institution will be involved in the holding of the anniversary vocal and symphony concert: National Chamber Orchestra conducted by master Cristian Florea, National Chamber Choir, conducted by Ilona Stepan, as well as the soloists Anna Strezeva (organ), Ion Negura (flute), Stefan Negura (panpipe) and Ion Josan (cello). Two personalities who left a deep imprint on the history of the Organ Hall will participate as special guests: the first organ player of the institution, Svetlana Bodiul, who presently lives in Malta, as well as cello player Ilian Garnet, honorary soloist of the Organ Hall, who is working in Germany.  The programme will include works by J. S. Bach, L. W. Beethoven, F. Shubert, F. Devienne, F. Doppler, P. I. Ceaikovski, A. Dvorak, G. Mahler, C. Saint-Saens, G. Faure, E. Elgar, H. Villla-Lobos, A. Piazzola, E. Lazarev, B. Dubosarschi.

The first concert took place at the Organ Hall on 15 September 1978. Forty years after the inauguration, two of the protagonists of that event – Svetlana Bodiul and Ion Josan – will return to the stage of the Organ Hall.
