One more person dead in the wake of blast in Chisinau found under ruins

Chisinau, 8 October /MOLDPRES/ - One more person dead has been found under ruins in the block of flats hit by a blast in the Rascani district of Chisinau. It is about a woman. Thus, so far, four persons have died in the wake of this explosion.

The head of the press service of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, Liliana Puscasu, confirmed this information for MOLDPRES.

The corpse of the woman was found at the 14th floor of this building. The identity of the woman is to be established.

Another two dead bodies were taken out of rubble on 7 October evening, 24 hours after the blast.

An explosion took place in a block of flats in the Rascani district of the Moldovan capital on 6 October evening. The cabinet said it would earmark by 50,000 lei to the families of the dead persons. The Chisinau Municipal Council ruled to allocate ten million lei to carry out repair works at the building. Today, also President Igor Dodon said that the charity Foundation Din Suflet (Wholeheartedly) of the First Lady would provide support to those hit by the tragedy.
