PM says to new Ambassador of Sweden on need of partners' support to Moldova for continuation of European path

Chisinau, 16 October /MOLDPRES/ – Prime Minister, Pavel Filip, congratulated the new Ambassador of Sweden to Moldova, Anna Lyberg, today on the occasion of taking over her mandate in Moldova, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

The Prime Minister expressed the opening of the Government for further cooperation between the parties, appreciating the important role of Sweden as one of the Eastern Partnership initiating countries.

The head of the Executive also thanked the Swedish side for helping Moldova by funding projects in various fields. Especially, it was highlighted the Sweden's contribution to creation of the first ICT Excellence Centre, as well as the support given to the implementation of reforms and achievement of the European integration objective of Moldova. "We need partners' support to continue the European path of Moldova. We want to continue to focus on the needs of our citizens and continue the reform agenda that we have," said Pavel Filip.

Swedish Ambassador, Anna Lyberg, appreciated the government's determination to implement the reform agenda and said that Sweden would further support the European path of Moldova and the efforts to modernise it.
