Moldova participates in World Investment Forum

Chisinau, 23 October /MOLDPRES/ - MP George Mocanu participates in the World Investment Forum in Geneva. At the event, 5,000 delegates from 160 countries discuss global challenges in the globalization age, digital economy, blockchain technologies and sustainable economy, entrepreneurship and migration, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
“Moldova must prepare for investments in the sectors of the future. This means highly qualified labour force, investments in industries with high added value, stimulation of the business environment,” lawmaker George Mocanu said at the meeting, held at the Palace of Nations from Geneva.
At the Forum, the guests participate in a string of events, such as Global Leaders Investment Summit, Investment in a New Era of Globalization, 2018 United Nations Investment Promotion Awards, Investment & the Digital Economy, Sustainable Stock Exchanges etc.
The United Nations World Investment Forum this year has the title, Investing in Sustainable Development, and is held in Geneva on 22-26 October. The event brings together heads of government, minister, MPs, business leaders and representatives of the civil society. The forum generates strategies and solutions to global challenges in terms of investments and development. The meeting provides a unique opportunity to influence the process of working out public policies dealing with investments, to connect the global investment environment to the world leaders from business and politics.
