Chisinau, 2 November /MOLDPRES/- Pupils and teachers of Romanian-language high schools from the Transnistrian region, starting from 1 November, can circulate to the educational institutions located on the territory not controlled by Chisinau authorities under the pupil and teacher cards, the Bureau for Reintegration has reported.
After many discussions and negotiations, the access of children and teachers will not be done by prior notifications and lists. Chisinau authorities managed to identify a formula to ensure the right to free movement and access to education for the 1,500 pupils from the 8 schools with teaching in Romanian.
In the near future, following completion of the autumn holiday, pupils and teachers will perfect student cards and teacher cards in order to move freely.
The Moldovan government will further back pupils and teachers from Romanian schools in the Transnistrian region so as the right to education be guaranteed to each pupil, according to the Bureau for Reintegration.
