Government approved amendment of Moldovan delegation to Joint Control Commission

Chisinau, 9 November /MOLDPRES/- At the 8 November meeting, the government decided to change the nominal composition of the Moldovan delegation to the Joint Control Commission.
According to the Bureau for Reintegration, the document aims to strengthen the capacity of the Moldovan delegation on representing the state's interests, multilateral support of the Transnistrian settlement process, as well as contributing to solving problems related to ensuring citizens' security, peace and rule of law in the Security Zone.
The commission was created and operates under the Moldovan-Russian Agreement signed on 21 July 1992. It includes delegations from the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation, the Transnistrian region, Ukraine and the OSCE. The Joint Control Commission meets weekly in Bender in the presence of moderators and observers to discuss and set solutions to the issues on security and rule of law, and functioning of peacekeeping mechanism in the Security Zone.
The Moldovan delegation included the head of the delegation, members and experts with permanent status representing the central public administration authorities according to their competencies.
The Regulation of activity of the Moldovan delegation to the JCC was approved by the government on 3 October 2011.
