International light music festival - Twin Hearts - nominated winners

Chisinau, 16 November /MOLDPRES/- The 16th edition of the International light music festival - Twin Hearts. In memoriam Doina and Ion Aldea-Teodorovici, which took place on 13-15 November, nominated winners yesterday evening. The event was held at the Nicolae Sulac National Palace in Chisinau.

Winners were selected by an international jury headed by TV journalist Gutiera Prodan.

Festival director Eugenia Marin, mother of Doina Aldea-Teodorovici, said that 43 competitors from eight countries: Moldova, Belarus, Bulgaria, Russian Federation, Romania, Tajikistan, Ukraine and Vietnam participated in the event.

The Grand Prix, at the children's section, was won by Maxim Ialnazov from Bulgaria, and in the mature category the prize went to Stanislav Ţibari from Moldova.

At the children's section, Anastasia Barbă and Petronela Donicu (Moldova) won first prize, Valeria Vechiu and Valentin Carp (Moldova) – second prize and Ionel Prodan (Moldova) and Diana Ursulescu (Romania) – third prize.

The Grigore Vieru prize, awarded by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, was won by the duet Mariana Cazacu and Andrian Panciuc (Moldova), and the prize of the Aldea-Teodorovici family went to Denis Belecciu (Moldova).

The jury also awarded special prizes. The competitors were accompanied by the Orchestra led by Cristofor Aldea-Teodorovici, Festival's head.

The winner of the first issue of the festival was Pasa Parfeni. At the last year's edition, the Grand Prix, at the children's section, was won by Erica Musteata from Moldova, and in the mature category - by Ro Ong Ha Thoai from Vietnam.
