More than 550,000 Moldovan pensioners to receive one-off financial aid worth 600 lei

Chisinau, 11 December /MOLDPRES/ - Elderly people with pensions lower than 2,000 lei on the days to come will be able to take a one-off assistance worth 600 lei, provided by the authorities ahead of the winter holidays. The spokesman for the Moldovan Democratic Party (PDM), Vitalie Gamurari, made statements to this effect at a PDM’s weekly meeting today.

According to Gamurari, the money for this aid has been already transferred by the Finance Ministry and the first beneficiaries received it in account.

“The sums for the other pensions are to come to post offices today. Starting from tomorrow, postmen will distribute the money,” Gamurari said.

The initiative to provide pensioners with one-off assistance before the winter holidays belongs to PDM leader Vlad Plahotniuc. He said that such assistance is to be provided in the next years too.
