Almost 30 thousand persons cross state border of Moldova on New Year's eve night

Chisinau, 01 January /MOLDPRES/ – Almost 30 thousand persons have crossed the state border on the New Year's Eve night.

According to the Border Police's (PF) information and media communication service, cross – border traffic has been a light one, as there have been no high traffic figures.

Out of the total number of crossings, over 18 thousand crossings were on the way of entering Moldova and another 10 thousand crossings on the way out of Moldova.

Compared to similar period 2018, the number of crossings is down by 10 per cent.

Similarly, out of the total number of crossings of the state border, about 15 thousand were the crossings of the Moldovan citizens.

The most demanded border crossing points were: Chisinau International Airport (AIC) – (6,371 crossings), Leuseni (VL) – (4,965), Otaci (VO) – (3,205), Sculeni (VS) – (2,633) and Giurgiulesti – Galati (VGG) – (1,748).
