Project on reconstruction of Moldovan Presidency's building to be subjected to audit

Chisinau, 7 February /MOLDPRES/ - The Court of Accounts (CCRM) will carry out a mission of public audit of the technical assistance project on the reconstruction of the Moldovan Presidency’s building. The parliament adopted a decision to this effect today.

The initiative belongs to the Party of Communists’ (PCRM) faction, which says that the reconstruction of the Presidency’s building would have taken place with infringements of the legislation and the process would not have been transparent. PCRM also demanded that the CCRM members consider the entire process.

The building of the Presidency was fully restored by the government of Turkey. The works cost about ten million euros.

The Moldovan parliament has right to demand that the Court of Accounts carries out public audit missions.
