"Through the initiative to deliver free medicines, the Republic of Moldova is in line with the international practices to support the vulnerable people. The training seminar is first step in making the pharmacists clear, how to proceed at each stage, how to get into the essence of the mechanisms and regulations on the release of free medicines,” Gilca said.

The CNAM representatives unveiled information about the changes made recently in the list of compensated medicines, legislative acts, the steps that pharmacists have to comply with in order to provide free medicines, as well as concrete examples of releasing pharmaceuticals for certain diseases.

According to a decision by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, on 1 February, citizens will benefit from medicines provided free of charge by the state.
