Both the exit and the entrance will have 3 arteries for cars, two for trucks and one for coaches.

The Customs Service assured that the post will remain operational throughout the rehabilitation works.

At the same time, in May, a new customs control zone, built from its own sources, will be put into operation. It will be about 200 m away from the post, being provided for truck processing.

The Sculeni border post is the second most crossed customs point in the country, constantly registering some of the highest traffic values, especially in the summer, Easter and winter holidays. According to the data, during such periods, it is crossed daily by more than 2,000 transport units. Once the upgraded post has been put into service, its processing capacity will double.

The signing of the Partnership Agreement between the customs authorities of the two states is one of the final stages for the start of the project implementation. The following procedures involve the signing of the financing contract, launching and carrying out tenders and start of rehabilitation works.
