Chisinau municipal enterprise receives two special vehicles

Chisinau, 05 March /MOLDPRES/ – The municipal company Exdrupo has received two new vehicles today. They are part of the first batch of 12 transport units Kamaz offered for free to Moldova by Russia.  

The new units were handed over by the head of state Igor Dodon. The event was attended by Ambassador of Russia in Chisinau, Oleg Vasnetov, and the deputy mayor of Chisinau, Nistor Grozavu.

Igor Dodon has voiced confidence that the new vehicles will ease the work of local authorities in the process of street maintenance. According to the President, the first batch of units arrived in Moldova a few weeks ago. Two of them remain in Chisinau, while six of them will be send to several localities in the north of Moldova on 06 March, and four will arrive in the south districts of Moldova.

More precisely, these localities are: Briceni, Ocnita, Soroca, Floresti, Balti, Chisinau, Comrat, Congaz, Basarabeasca and Taraclia.

Nistor Grozavu has said that it is the first time in recent 5 years when the municipal enterprise benefits from new technology.

In the summer of 2018, visiting Moscow, head of state Igor Dodon asked the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, to examine the possibility of sending a batch of Russian vehicles free of charge to the localities in Moldova. Subsequently, the Russian leadership announced that it would offer Moldova 100 Kamaz vehicles, for the assembly of which it was allocated an amount of 100 million of Russian roubles (RUB).
