Over 100 companies attend business forum Moldova-China

Chisinau, 4 April /MOLDPRES/- Over 100 local companies and 12 most important companies from China participate in the Business Forum Moldova - China, which takes place on 2-4 April in Chisinau. The event aims at promoting investment offer of Moldova and many facilities that potential Chinese investors can benefit from.

"This event is an extraordinary platform and I support the idea of meeting once every two months with other Chinese entrepreneurs who are interested in investing in Moldova. This initiative will connect us more and will help us work together and develop business," Economy and Infrastructure Minister Chiril Gaburici said.

The Chinese companies that participated in the Moldova-China Business Forum are working in the pharmaceutical and biomedical industry, artificial intelligence and language technologies, heavy industry and industrial machinery, tourism.

"Chinese entrepreneurs, together with European Union partners, are interested in exploring the business opportunities and opening of the Moldovan market, which correspond to the current global trends and the interests of all parties," Vice President of the China-Europe Association for Technical and Economic Cooperation Pan Feng said.

At present, 86 Chinese companies are operating in Moldova with the capital invested being almost 6.76 million lei. According to the trade volume registered in 2018, China ranks 6th among the main trade partners of the Republic of Moldova, accounting for 7.31% of total trade.
