Leadership of Romania's Centru Regional Development Agency visits Centru Region of Moldova

Chisinau, 6 June /MOLDPRES/ - A delegation of Romania, which represents the Centru Regional Development Agency (ADR Centru), Alba Iulia, this week pays a working visit to ADR Centru of Moldova, with headquarters in the Ialoveni town.

The visit takes place within the joint framework of cooperation between the two institutions of regional development and is aimed at discussing the bilateral European cooperation and improving the activities for increasing the absorption of non-refundable European funds, between ADR Centru Romania and ADR Centru Moldova.

The colleagues from Romania participated in several rounds of discussions at the ADR Centru Moldova headquarters and visited more regional development projects, implemented in settlements from the country’s central region.

"We are resolute and interested in attracting investments into the Centru Region, in taking over good practices and cooperate in sectors of common interest, including within financing programmes, eligible for Moldova,” the director of ADR Centru Moldova, Viorel Jardan. Said.

For his part, his counterpart from Romania, Simion Cretu, expressed agreement “to identify and establish a concrete joint framework of cooperation, beneficial and interesting for both sides.” “We are opened and we have needed experience and expertise, which can be delivered to the Centru Region of Moldova,” the director of ADR Centru Romania, Simion Cretu, said.

The managers reiterated that both Regional Development Agencies had common interests and wanted to develop the bilateral cooperation, or each partner is trying to define new coordinates for the exchange of experience in the next years, through joint activities and European projects.

The colleagues from Romania will be on visit to ADR Centru till 7 June. More agreements are to be signed in diverse cooperation sectors, including those meant to ensure the transfer of knowledge on Moldova’s preparation for joining the European Union.
