More roads affected by rains of last days

Chisinau, 19 June /MOLDPRES/- Heavy rainfall on 17-18 June affected several localities in Telenesti, Criuleni and Sangerei districts, causing damage in the capital too.
The press officer of the General Inspectorate for Emergencies, Liliana Puscasu, said that heavy rainfall damaged 0.8 kilometers of local road in Telenesti town, and in Mandresti locality the rains destroyed 30 hectares of sunflowers.
The wind gusts have snatched 120 slate sheets and 7 cubic meters of lumber on a block of flats in Criuleni. Many streets in the capital have been flooded and two cars were blocked in the water on Uzinelor street.
On 18 June, workers of the Green Household Association intervened to evacuate fallen trees on nine streets in the capital. At the same time, employees have drained the accumulated water in the basements of several blocks in Botanica district.
Road workers of Exdrupo company were mobilized yesterday in all sectors to liquidate the problematic situations on the streets.
According to the State Hydrometeorological Service, the heat returns. Today we expect air temperatures of up to +32 degrees Celsius during the day and +21 degrees at night. Rains return only at the end of the week.
