Fourteen centres set up for additional school-leaving examination session in Moldova

Chisinau, 11 July /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,339 pupils have submitted applications to participate in the additional school-leaving examination session, due to start on 15 July. They will take exams at 14 centres created all over Moldova.   

The number of school-leaving examinations centres was established at a meeting of the National Examinations Commission today. Nine out of 14 centres will be opened in Chisinau, two ones in Balti and one in Cahul, Comrat and Edinet each. At the same time, 15 evaluation commissions were approved, with an overall number of 127 teachers assessors.  

The candidates who got bad marks at the basic session and those who, for various reasons, were absent from certain exams, can participate in the additional school-leaving examinations session. On 15 July, 170 candidates will take the examination in the Romanian language and literature for the pupils speaking other languages. The examination in the language in which the subjects are taught will be held on 16 July, with 488 candidates admitted to this exam. The examination in the foreign language will take place on 17 July, due to be taken by 1,081 candidates. Most candidates, 2,267, have registered for the examination in the specialty discipline, due to be held on 18 July. The last examination - in the discipline at will – will be taken by 301 candidates on 19 July.      

The exams will start at 10:00 and the results of the additional session will be posted at the school-leaving examinations centres on 24 July 2019. The candidates disagreeing with the marks given will be able to submit contestations during 48 hours after the results are posted.
