Moldovan deputy premier meets Slovakian ambassador

Chisinau, 29 July /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister Vasilii Sova today had a meeting with Ambassador of Slovakia to Moldova Dušan Dacho, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.   

The deputy prime minister pointed out Chisinau’s positions on more subjects. He noted the aspects tackled during the discussions with mediators and observers within the 5+2 format of talks, who paid a visit to Moldova on 12 July 2019, as well as the topics discussed at the last working meeting between the political representatives in the process of negotiations for the Transnistrian settlement, held at the Chisinau-based OSCE Mission on 24 July 2019.  

A special subject was focused on the issue of free movement of people both in the direction of the settlements from the right bank and to the left bank of Dniester. Sova reiterated the message on the need to ensure a free regime of movement between both banks.

The discussions on the latest developments in the negotiating process were focused also on the work of the Permanent Conference on Political Issues in the Transnistrian Settlement Process (the 5+2 format of talks). The sides said that the next official round in this format was to take place in Bratislava, Slovakia, on 7-8 October 2019.

The ambassador expressed openness for the providing of needed support to initiatives on the promotion of confidence building measures and backing the Transnistrian settlement process.

Slovakia holds the OSCE chairmanship in 2019.
