Project on supply with qualitative water starts in north Moldova town

Chisinau, 30 July /MOLDPRES/ - The works on construction of a water pumping station within a project on modernization of the water supply services has started in the northern Donduseni town. As a result of the project’s implementation, more than 7,000 local residents will have access to qualitative drinking water.  

According to the North Regional Development Agency (ADR Nord), after the building of the pumping station has been recently launched, the works of installation and construction of an aqueduct system are also to start in Donduseni, which will allow supplying the town with drinking water from five wells.

At the same time, after the public acquisitions carried out, an entrepreneur will be nominated, which will carry out similar works also in the Climauti village, the same district, where over 1,000 people live.  

Specialists of ADR Nord monitored the carrying out of the works within this project on 29 July. According to the head of the ADR Nord’s section for projects’ management, Constantin Bandiu, the works are carried out according to the schedule and norms in force. 

The value of the Donduseni project is of 17.6 million lei, requested from the National Regional Development Fund. The National Council of Regional Development Coordination approved the earmarking of five million lei for the works due to be carried out till late 2019.

The new project from the northern region provides for the modernization of the water and sewerage supply services in the district centre, as well as in the villages of Corbu, Donduseni, Taul, Climauti, Tarnova of the Donduseni district.
