Chisinau, 16 October /MOLDPRES/- All projects funded by the European Union in Moldova were integrated on the online platform www.eu4moldova.md, which was launched on 15 October in Chisinau. It also comprises an interactive map with which you can view all initiatives carried out in a certain locality in the country.

EU Ambassador to Chisinau Peter Michalko said that so far over a thousand projects have been launched in our country with EU support in various fields, which over half a million citizens have directly benefited. Thanks to EU assistance, 15 thousand jobs have been created and 700 km of roads have been modernized. At the same time, 17 thousand farmers in our country have received EU support, and about 16 thousand people have access to drinking water, thanks to the aqueducts built with EU support. Over eight million lei were invested in infrastructure projects.

“There are many areas in which our cooperation can be backed and we are ready to continue this communication. We will continue our activities throughout the country. In the future, these projects will be implemented in each village, in each city, which the citizens will benefit from. We want to see that the European standards will be a reality for every citizen of the Republic of Moldova ”, he said.

For his part, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Nicolae Popescu said that Moldova should not be endlessly in a position to seek external assistance, but to seek opportunities to contribute to EU priorities. "I do not think that in our country there is at least one citizen who does not want the Republic of Moldova to have European schools, kindergartens, roads and hospitals. This unites us all. We want to live like in Europe and this is a task that we must fulfill as a society. This is what we need. The success of this goal depends on us. We, as a society, do not have to endlessly be in a position to seek external assistance ”, Popescu said.

Several beneficiaries of EU funded projects in our country participated in the launch of the platform, who appreciated the results of their implementation.
