Chisinau, 02 November /MOLDPRES/ – The number of pensioners residing abroad and receiving the pension in Moldova has increased 10 times in recent 05 years. The National House of Social Insurance (CNAS) has stated that this fact is due both to the increase in the number of states with which Moldova has concluded agreements in the field of social security and intensification of migration processes at European level.
Thus, if at the end of 2014, when there were in force only 09 social security agreements, the pensions were established for 62 persons, then in October 2019 their number has reached 650. Only since March 2019, there have been established 70 pensions for persons living in Germany.
At present, 803 persons, which had legally worked in other states and returned to Moldova, have received pensions from the competent institutions of respective states. Thus, 311 persons have benefited from pensions transferred from Romania, 213 – from Czechia, 87 – from Austria, 81 – from Bulgaria, 67 – from Portugal, 27 – from Poland and other countries. These persons also have the right to a pension, established for the internship in Moldova.
Currently, CNAS has implemented 12 social security agreements with Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czechia, Estonia, Germany, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Poland, Portugal, Romania and Hungary. The agreement signed with Turkey will enter into force after ratification of the document by Moldova and Turkey.
