Meeting of Superior Council of Prosecutors postponed over lack of quorum

Chisinau, 6 November /MOLDPRES/ - A meeting of the Superior Council of Prosecutors (CSP), scheduled to today, was postponed over lack of quorum. The CSP members are expected to come to a new meeting on 8 November.
CSP head Angela Motuzoc today said that only nine out of the 15 CSP members had come to the meeting today, while the law sees that the meetings can be deliberative, if at least two thirds of the members are present.
Today, the CSP members had on the agenda seven drafts, among which the announcing of contests for the filling of vacant positions of prosecutor, assessing the stage of reception of files submitted within the contests announced for filling some positions of prosecutor, consideration of an application on transfer and nomination of CSP members in the working group for the elaboration of the inter-professional charter of judges, prosecutors and lawyers.
