Russia to additionally provide 500 authorizations to Moldovan carriers

Chisinau, 7 November /MOLDPRES/ - Russia has accepted the release of an additional quota of 500 authorizations to Moldovan carriers for this year. The Economics and Infrastructure Ministry today made statements to this effect, following a meeting of the Moldovan-Russian joint commission in the sector of international road transport.
The authorizations next week are to come to the National Motor Transport Agency (ANTA) via diplomatic mail, in order to be subsequently distributed to local carriers, according to the applications submitted.
At the same time, after discussions, decision-makers ruled to increase the number of authorizations for the bilateral transport/ transit of goods for 2020 by 1,000 units. Thus, the preliminary contingent of authorizations for the Moldovan side in 2020 will be 16,000 authorizations for the bilateral transport/ transit of goods and 500 authorizations for the transport to/from third countries.
The goods carriers today protested in Chisinau, discontented about not being able to get authorizations for exporting goods to Russia.
