Chisinau, 9 November /MOLDPRES/ - The last month of autumn continues to be marked by mild, sunny weather, without precipitation. This tendency will be maintained on the days to come too, the State Hydrometeorological Service has said.

According to meteorologists, this week-end will still be generous in terms of air temperatures like in spring, up to +23 Celsius degrees during the day and +13 degrees at night. Starting from 11 November, the weather will cool insignificantly, with maximal air temperatures of +20 degrees another several days.

On the concerned period, rains are expected rarely, only in north Moldova, which actually worries farmers. “The drought from this year continues to make troubles to us. After we had a quite bad harvest of wheat and maize, a string of autumn works are stopped now too. Some lands are practically impossible to plough, as the soil is very dry and no rains are expected in the near future,” a farmer from the southern region has told MOLDPRES.

The last October was the warmest October ever registered throughout the world, according to Copernicus European Service on climate changes. This is the fifth month in a row which exceeded and got closer to a record level.
