MPs have three months to appoint new government

Chisinau, 12 November /MOLDPRES/- Following the dismissal by censure motion of the Cabinet of Ministers headed by Maia Sandu, the MPs have at their disposal under the legislation three months to vote a new government.
According to the legislation in force, the Prime Minister resigns within 3 days. After the resignation, the head of state should initiate consultations with the parliamentary factions to come up with proposals for the appointment of a new government.
If a new Cabinet of Ministers is not voted for three months, snap polls will be held.
Maia Sandu said that those who have resigned the government must assume the consequences. She avoided saying if she would talk to MPs from the PSRM faction to continue the ruling alliance.
President Igor Dodon announced a press conference for 2:30 pm.
The Cabinet of Ministers headed by Prime Minister Maia Sandu was dismissed today by a censure motion. 63 MPs of PSRM and PDM voted to dismiss the government. Shor Party lawmakers abstained.
