Over 500 technical units to ensure snow removal in cold season

Chisinau, 13 November /MOLDPRES/- Over 500 road vehicles will be involved in clearing and distributing anti-skid material on national public roads during the cold year.

At the same time, on the local roads will intervene including the technique provided by the local authorities.

Deputy head of the State Road Administration (ASD) Ion Drucec said that about 56 thousand tons of anti-slip material had already been prepared for the control of public roads, and its purchases are continuing. Last year, 70 thousand tons of non-slip material were purchased.

Ion Drucec added that more than 500 workers will be involved in the snow removal works.

In winter, posts towing heavy transport units will be created in the difficult road sectors.

At the same time, 33 video cameras are installed on the national roads, with the help of which the traffic participants can see traffic on certain road sectors.
