Expert Council on Justice Reform to be set up in Moldova

Chisinau, 14 November /MOLDPRES/- President Igor Dodon ordered the creation of an expert advisory council on the reform of the justice system. The presidential decree on the matter has already entered into force, after on 13 November was published in the Official Journal of Moldova.
The Council will be made up of 13 experts and will work under the President of the Republic of Moldova. The council members will have the role to evaluate the concept of justice reform and to make proposals and recommendations on its adjustment to international standards.
At the same time, the Council will carry out the expertise of the draft laws elaborated in the context of the justice reform and will present recommendations regarding its implementation. The new entity will involve independent specialists and experts in its activity to analyze the effects of justice reform.
