Moldovan Party of Socialists to have new MP

Chisinau, 15 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) today initiated the procedure of validation of a MP mandate, which belongs to the Party of Socialists (PSRM).

CEC took the decision after the parliament on 14 November had taken note of the resignation of lawmaker Ion Ceban, who was elected general mayor of Chisinau.

Ceban’s MP seat is to be occupied by the alternate candidate on PSRM’s list, Mihail Paciu.

The CEC’s ruling will be submitted to the Constitutional Court, which is to decide on the validation of the lawmaker mandate of the candidate put forward.
