Moldovans living in Italy to be able to convert driver's licences

Chisinau, 20 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovans living in Italy will be able to convert their driver’s licences. Moldova’s Embassy in Rome has made statements to this effect.
According to the Moldovan Embassy, the new rule will be enforced as of 10 January 2020, when the amendments to the agreement between the governments of Moldova and Italy on the conversion of driver’s licences come into force.
„Starting from this date, all driver’s licences issued by Moldova will be convertible in the Italian Republic,” the Embassy noted.
Official data shows that there were more than 135,000 Moldovans in Italy in 2017.
Moldova has signed similar agreements with other states as well.
