Veterans to get higher allowances

Chisinau, 6 December /MOLDPRES/- Participants in the war for territorial integrity and independence of Moldova and those participating in military actions in Afghanistan and the territories of other states will receive higher allowances. A draft law in this regard was passed today in first reading.
Under the new provisions, the benefits will increase from 100 to 300 lei. With the entry into force of amendments to legislation, over 35,500 people will get higher allowances.
The allowances for the categories of persons have not been indexed or increased since 2012.
