Upcoming week expected to be nice weather condition in daytime, frost at night in Moldova

Chisinau, 08 December /MOLDPRES/ – The upcoming week will be characterised by warm temperatures, during the daytime, and frost at night, with variable sky, sunny weather condition, and rain in all regions of Moldova, the SHS’s information and media communication service has reported.
According to meteorologists, the beginning of next week will indicate thermal values, similar to the spring – like, reaching up to 10ºC during the day. At night, however, in winter, the mercury will drop below 0ºC throughout Moldova. This weather trend will continue for upcoming few days.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, 10 – 11 December, in the northern and central districts, it is expected rain of short duration and low intensity. In the south, it is possible rainfall, on Saturday, 14 December, with rain throughout Moldova.
Because of frost during the night, the hydrologists warn of the danger posed by ice formations created in the aquatic basins. The ice is thin, the exit on it presents a danger, but in this context the rescuers warn the population, especially the amateur fishermen, not to venture out to try winter fishing yet. Also, the parents must be careful and prohibit minors to play near water sources.
The specialists of SHS say that in December almost all over Moldova there is a negative average monthly air temperature from – 0.2ºC in the south to – 2.1ºC in the north. However, there are relatively frequent cases when the average air temperature is positive in December. Such values of air temperature are reported in the northern and central districts of Moldova on average once in 04 years, in the south – once in 02 years. The coldest December for the entire period of instrumental measurements on most of the territory was in 2002 – average monthly air temperature was between – 5,8ºC (Ceadar – Lunga) and – 8,0ºC (Soroca). The hottest December was in 1960 – the average monthly air temperature ranged from +2.7ºC (Rabnita) to +5.8ºC (Tiraspol).
