Over 3,700 people purchased home under First Home program

Chisinau, 10 December /MOLDPRES/- A total of 3744 people have purchased a home through the government program First Home, since its launch until now.

Of the total beneficiaries, 2629 are families and 1115 - unmarried young people. The average age of the applicants is 31.3 years.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the total amount of loans granted by banks for the purchase of over 3700 homes is 1,873 billion lei, and the amount of active guarantees reached 936.6 million lei.

Of the total number of dwellings, 3504 are in urban areas, and 240 - in rural areas. Most of them are apartments.

The government program First home was launched in March 2018. Beneficiary may be any Moldovan citizen, aged between 18 and 45, who is officially employed at a state institution or private company in the country and has incomes from official sources.
