Bulk wine made in Moldova gets three gold medals at international contest

Chisinau, 10 December /MOLDPRES/ - Bulk wine made in Moldova has got three gold medals at an international contest held in the Netherlands.

The performance was recorded by two wine-making companies, which last week participated in the biggest bulk wine fair worldwide, World Bulk Wine, held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The far-reaching event, organized annually, implies also the organization of a contest titled, International Bulk Wine, - the only one in the world dedicated to jurying bulk wines.

The competition brought together 260 producers from 24 countries. Moldova was represented by 18 wine-making companies, which displayed 108 samples of wine for jurying. The jury, made up of 29 experts from 23 countries, awarded 47 gold medals, of which three ones for bulk wines from Moldova.

Those 18 Moldovan producers presented their bulk wines before more than 6,000 visitors from 60 countries at a joint stand, Wine of Moldova.

In the first nine months of 2019, Moldova exported 80.46 million litres of bulk wine.
