Best students of Moldova can get merit scholarships worth 12,000 lei

Chisinau, 11 December /MOLDPRES/ - The best students of Moldova can get merit scholarships worth 12,000 lei. Fifty scholarships will be provided at a contest announced by the University Information Centre. The files can be submitted till 20 January 2020.

Thirty five out of all the scholarships will be provided to young people who make higher degree education and another 15 are meant for students training for master’s degree.

The scholarships can be demanded by day students of the last academic year, cycle I students, students making higher degree education, day students admitted to the first academic year, cycle II, higher education for master’s degree and young people studying according to integrated syllabi.

To be eligible, the students must have the average mark for all the academic years not lower than 9 in the fields of social sciences and humanities, 8.5 in the field of exact sciences, technical, medical and biological sciences and 8 – in case of students with disabilities and/or who remained without parental care. As for the students training for master’s degree, the average general mark of the degree diploma will be taken into account. The future students benefiting from scholarships should prove participation in curricular and extracurricular activities.

The Merit Scholarships programme has reached its 24th issue and is organized under the aegis of the Rectors’ Council of Moldova, with the financial support of a commercial bank and of a mobile telephony operator.
