Moldovan SP has discussion with Hungarian diaspora

Chisinau, 13 December /MOLDPRES/ – Parliament Speaker, Zinaida Greceanii, has had today a discussion with the Hungarian diaspora at the end of her official visit to Budapest at the invitation of her Hungarian counterpart, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.

Zinaida Greceanii has thanked her fellow citizens for being patriots of Moldova and good ambassadors of its culture and traditions in Hungary. SP has underlined that the relationship with Hungary is very friendly and due to the authorities in Budapest, the voice of Moldova is stronger in EU.

Referring to the situation in Moldova, the Speaker of Parliament has underlined the importance that authorities attach to development of infrastructure throughout Moldova. "The politicians must ensure political stability and act in interests of citizens of Moldova. We are determined to defend the interest of state and Moldovan people,” said Zinaida Greceanii.

"We shall fulfill all the external commitments made so far, because not the parties, but the state has signed the Association Agreement with EU. We have to work hard and we hope that the changes for the better in Moldova will bring you home. The country needs your experience and energy,” said Zinaida Greceanii.

SP has thanked the Association of Moldovans in Hungary, led by head of the Association of Moldovans in Hungary, Oleg Damascan, for preserving and promoting Moldovan traditions, but especially for caring for the graves of 143 Moldovans fallen in World War II (WWII), in Szekesfehervar. Also here is the eternal place of the father of the great composer Eugen Doga.

MPs have answered the questions of Moldovan citizens established in Hungary, sent congratulations on the occasion of winter holidays and wished light in the soul, optimism and achievements for Moldova.

The Speaker is paying an official visit to Hungary on 11 – 14 December. The parliamentary delegation includes chairman of the Commission of agriculture and food industry, Radu Mudreac, deputy head of the nominated Commission, Vladimir Bolea, and head of the Commission of public administration, Vasile Bitca.

The delegation of the Parliament of Moldova has had meetings with President of the National Assembly of Hungary, Laszlo Kover, President of Hungary, Janos Ader, Minister of Human Resources, Miklos Kasler, and deputy head of the National Assembly and chief of the Friendship Group with South – Eastern Europe, Istvan Jakab. Also, SP has held a series of meetings with officials from Hungarian Government, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Agriculture.
