Moldovan PM attends official event on Christmas

Chisinau, 25 December /MOLDPRES/- Over 20 vehicles of rescuers and firefighters arranged with lights and decorated with ornaments started last night in a Christmas Caravan through several districts of the country. The first stop participants in the Caravan made it to the Grand National Assembly Square, where the cars were installed to be admired by all interested people.
In the PMAN, the Christmas Caravan of Rescuers and Firefighters was expected by hundreds of people who came with their families and relatives. The official opening ceremony of the event was attended by Prime Minister Ion Chicu, Minister of Internal Affairs Pavel Voicu and the IGSU leadership.
Following the speeches of the officials, the firemen organized competitions for the children who came to the fun. The finalists were rewarded with sweets and gifts, including fire extinguishers, smoke detectors and risk prevention information material. Also on the evening of December 24, the rescuers held a flash-mob showing the intervention of all the subdivisions by spheres of activity. After the event, people took pictures of the decorated special vehicles, and the Christmas Caravan of Rescuers and Firefighters started with gifts for the small patients at the Oncological Institute in the capital.
The Christmas Caravan of Rescuers and Firefighters will continue today in many districts of the country, where more children will enjoy gifts.
IGSU of MAI is carrying out the event the fourth year in a row. The event aims to prevent risky situations in winter holidays. The IGSU partners in carrying out activities for children are motorists from the Terra Valahia Public Association and entrepreneurs from Moldova.
