Chisinau, 27 December /MOLDPRES/ – The promulgation decree and law of state social insurance budget /BASS/ have been published, on Friday, in the Official Journal (MO). This law comes into force on 01 January 2020.

According to document, the revenues chapter is forecast in the amount of MDL 23,491 mln for 2020, with an increase of 9.6 per cent. The expenses are also proposed in the amount of MDL 23,491 mln, also with an increase of 9.6 per cent.

In the structure of BASS revenues, its general resources will constitute 63.6 per cent, and transfers from state budget (BS) – about 36.4 per cent.

Among new policy measures that have influenced BASS expenditures are: revision from 01 July of the periods of review of pensions for elderly, increase from MDL 100 up to MDL 300 of the amount of monthly state allowance for beneficiaries among participants in actions for defence of territorial integrity and independence of Moldova, as well as for persons participating in combat actions in Afghanistan and on territories of other states, extension of the right to a monthly state allowance in the amount of MDL 500 on rehabilitated victims of political repression, increase of the amount of allowances state social benefits for persons with disabilities, granting monthly allowance to surviving spouse in case of death of insured, beneficiary of pension for age limit, within 5 years from the date of obtaining this right, granting the unique support in the amount of MDL 700 to beneficiaries of pensions and state allowances.

In making the forecast of BASS indicators, there were used macroeconomic indicators, such as GDP growth in 2020 of 3.8 per cent, inflation of 5.7 per cent, increase of average monthly nominal salary with 8.7 per cent and labour remuneration fund – by 8.5 per cent.
