Moldovan painter exhibits work at Louvre Museum from Paris

Chisinau, 31 December /MOLDPRES/ - Fine artist, head of the Culture Centre ARTELIT Elvira Cemortan-Volosin has recently participated in Salon des Beaux Arts 2019 (Fine Arts Salon 2019), which took place at Carrousel du Louvre of the Louvre History and Art Museum from Paris, under the patronage of President of France Emmanuel Macron.   

According to the organizers, 600 artists from all over the world: Brazil, Canada, China, Korea, Japan, Norway, Spain, Turkey and other countries, took part in the exhibition.

Contacted by MOLDPRES, Elvira Cemortan-Volosin said that more than 3,000 works of painting, graphic, sculpture, design, photography had been presented, of which 600 were selected. “I am honoured that a work of mine - Rouge et Blanc (Red and White) – has reached such a prestigious art salon. Fine artist Nina Tescari from Moldova, settled in France for more years, also participated with a work along with me. I thank, on this occasion, the Embassy of Moldova in France and especially Charge d’Affaires Vladimir Chirinciuc, due to whom my work has reached Paris,” the painter also said.    

Also on these days, Elvira Cemortan-Volosin organized, along with the Embassy of Moldova in France, an exhibition of modern painting and photos, as well as tasting sparkling wines at the headquarters of the consular section. The event was followed by a master-class of painting with wine.   

Elvira Cemortan-Volosin was born in Soroca city on 20 April 1969. She graduated from the Alexandru Plamadeala Arts College and Fine Arts Faculty, tapestry specialty, of the Music Theatre and Fine Arts Academy. Elvira Cemortan-Volosin practices easel painting, tapestry, batik, and book illustration. Cemortan-Volosin is founder of the ARTELIT Culture Centre from Moldova (chairwoman), artistic club ATC Alfa Club Iasi-Bacau-Chisinau and the Artelit Gallery from the Serghei Lunchevici National Philharmonic. She participated in about 150 exhibitions in Moldova and abroad. Elvira Cemortan-Volosin inaugurated over 30 personal exhibitions.
