More than 35,000 crossings of people registered at Moldova's border on New Year

Chisinau, 1 January /MOLDPRES/ - Over 35,000 crossings of people were registered at the state border on the New Year. There were by more than 20 per cent crossings against the same period of the year before.

Over 20,000 of all crossings were recorded in the direction of entering Moldova and another 14,882 crossings – at the exit from the country. At the same time, 18,565 of all crossings of the state border represented crossings by Moldovan citizens.

The most transited border crossing points were the Chisinau International Airport, Leuseni, Otaci and Sculeni.

Data by the Border Police shows that, on the New Year, 7,638 crossings by transport means were registered, with more ones at the entrance into Moldova.

Presently, all border crossing points work as normal, the Border Police said.
