More people to receive increased allocations, allowances in Moldova starting from 1 January

Chisinau, 1 January /MOLDPRES/ - The allowances and allocations provided to more categories of people were increased on 1 January 2020. 

Thus, the parents whose children are born after 1 January 2020 will receive a one-off childbirth allowance worth 8,299 lei, up by 388 lei against so far.  

Also starting from today, the survivor pension of the children up to 18 years of age or who continue their studies in day education institutions, till their finishing, without exceeding the age of 23 years, grows by 25 per cent. While till present, the survivor pension has accounted for 50 per cent of the pension of the deceased supporter, this pension will account for 75 per cent now.   

Also, the elderly people with a length of pensionable service shorter than 15 years and who cannot benefit from age limit pension, will receive higher allocations by 150 per cent as of today. While so far, they have received 215 lei, starting from the New Year, the concerned allocation will be 539 lei monthly.  

At the same time, the social allocation for the disabled people will grow by 100 per cent and will amount to 647 lei monthly for people with severe disabilities, 604 lei for those with pronounced disabilities and 431 lei for persons with medium disabilities.

The state monthly allocations provided to the participants in the combat actions for the defence of Moldova’s territorial integrity and independence, participants in the combat actions in Afghanistan, as well as on the territory of other states will increase three-fold starting from today, from 100 to 300 lei per month, without the need to additionally submit the acts.
