Number of Russian economic agents exporting animal products to Moldova increases

Chisinau, 24 January /MOLDPRES/ - The number of Russian enterprises with right to export animal products to Moldova has increased by 72 units. The permission was received following a meeting of the leadership of the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA) with the director of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor), Serghei Dankvert, held at the International Green Week 2020 international exhibition staged in Berlin.

The website of Rosselkhoznadzor reads that it is about enterprises for producing fowl, fish, dairy products, food for children and apiarian products. The permission was got based on guarantees by Rosselkhoznadzor and taking into account “the fruitful cooperation between the sanitary services from Moldova and Russia.”

The quoted source also said that the veterinary service of Moldova had confirmed willingness to inspect the Russian enterprises interested in the export of animal origin production till late 2020.

According data by Rosselkhoznadzor, at present, about 270 enterprises from Russia are allowed to export animal origin products to Moldova’s market. Instead, only several Moldovan economic operators have right to export the same goods to Russia.
