Sum of loans provided within First Home programme exceeds two billion lei in Moldova

Chisinau, 11 February /MOLDPRES/ - As many as 4,019 dwellings have been purchased since the launch of the First Home state programme so far. The overall sum of the loans provided by banks is of two billion lei, while the total sum of active guarantees is of one billion lei.   

As many as 2,825 out of 3,999 beneficiaries are families and 194 – young unmarried people. The average age of the applicants is 31.5 years.  

At the same time, 571 people out of all beneficiaries of the programme enjoy compensations within the First Home 2 programme, meant for people employed in the public sector. Those who maintain more minor children (First Home 3) benefit from compensation from the state budget as well – 1,422 persons. A number of 271 beneficiaries of the programme, who are employed in private companies (First Home 4) also enjoy allocations from the state budget, sources from the Finance Ministry said.  

The average area of the dwellings bought within the programme is of 60 square metres and the average value of the dwellings is 591,800 lei.   

As many as 3,705 dwellings out of all those purchased are apartments and 315 – private houses. A number of 3,767 dwellings were bought in urban zones - and 253 in rural ones.  

Any citizen of Moldova aged between 18 and 45 years, who is officially employed at a state institution or private company from the country and has incomes from official sources, can be beneficiary of the First Home governmental programme.
