Shor Party of Moldova remains in electoral race in Hancesti

Chisinau, 10 March /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau Court of Appeal today turned down a request by the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), which asked for the exclusion of the candidate of the Shor Party, Vitalie Balinschi, from the electoral race for the new parliamentary polls due in the uninominal electoral district No 38 Hancesti.

CEC asked for Balinschi’s exclusion from the electoral race for the use of undeclared financial and material funds as regards the organization of the carriage of voters on electoral purposes. The Shor Party described the step of the electoral authority as illegal.

Today morning, more supporters of this party participated in a rally to back the candidacy of Vitalie Balinschi and protested against the request by the Central Electoral Commission.

After two hours of protest, the Shor Party withdrew its supporters from outside the building of the Chisinau-based Court of Appeal.
