Moldova's Single Command Centre of emergency state holds meeting

Chisinau, 6 April /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Ion Chicu today chaired a meeting of the Single Command Centre of the emergency state (CUCSU), the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

Interior Minister Pavel Voicu informed that the Interior Ministry (MAI) had mobilized more than 8,000 employees of the subordinated structures for measures to ensure the quarantine regime, verify people under supervision and maintain the public order. Employees of the General Police Inspectorate (IGP) checked 5,448 people who are self-isolated at home. The 112 Service received 85 calls with information on the infringement of the self-isolation regime by persons placed in quarantine. Sixteen minors were detected without parents’ supervision. Twenty four people were sanctioned for various infringements of restrictions imposed by the Commission for Emergency Situations (CSE).

As many as 2,018 people have entered Moldova in the last 24 hours, of whom 188 ones - through the Chisinau International Airport.

Presently, four settlements are placed in quarantine regime: Soroca city, Stefan Voda town, the villages Carahasani (Stefan Voda) and Balceana (Hancesti).

Health, Labour and Social protection Minister Viorica Dumbraveanu informed that, after 192 samples had been investigated, 101 cases of COVID-19 infection were confirmed. Four cases are of import and 97 - with local transmission. As many as 965 cases are confirmed in all.

The settlements with most cases confirmed are: Chisinau city - 23, district Stefan Voda – 16, Glodeni – 11, Ialoveni – 8. Seven cases are confirmed in districts from the left bank of Dniester. Two deaths were registered in the last 24 hours.

The PM approached the subject on preparing additional rooms for eventual next needs. The participants in the meeting considered the preparation of rooms of the COVID-19 Centre for sorting suspect cases.

The CUCSU members analyzed the epidemiological situation nationally and separately at administrative units.
