Police might be reorganized in Moldova

Chisinau, 15 April /MOLDPRES/ - The police might be organized in regional subdivisions. The members of the parliament’s juridical commission for rules and immunities, at a today online meeting, discussed a draft on the amendment of the law on the activity of the Police and the status of policeman.
The legislative initiative belongs to an MP of the Party of Socialists (PSRM), Vasile Bolea. According to the lawmaker, the police will be organized in territorial subdivisions, which will represent units with legal personality, of territorial competence, according to the administrative and territorial division or grouped regionally in directorates subordinated to the General Police Inspectorate (IGP). The territorial subdivisions will be placed and will work on the territory of one or more administrative and territorial units, based on the regulations on the organization and work, approved by the IGP head.
Also, police inspectorates, sections and services will be organized and will work within the territorial subdivisions regionally grouped in directorates, depending on the size of the territory, number of residents, number and importance of economic and social objects.
