Airship with goods from China to combat COVID-19 arrives in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 20 April /MOLDPRES/ - An airship with 50 tons of goods purchased from China for a more efficient management of the crisis triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic landed at the Chisinau International Airport on 19 April evening.
The load includes over 80,000 tests for detecting COVID-19, more than 80,000 extraction kits, over 280,000 KN 95 respirators, over 600,000 pairs of medical gloves, 50,000 collection tubes, protection screens and spectacles, infrared thermometres and other protection equipment.
The AN-124 “Ruslan” plane of the Russian Aerospace Forces, which carried the goods, was provided by Russia’s authorities free of charge.
As many as 2,472 cases of infection with COVID-19 are confirmed in Moldova and 67 people have died.
