As many as 4,051 people infected with COVID-19

Chisinau, 2 May /MOLDPRES/- After processing 371 samples, another 72 new cases of COVID-19 infection were reported today, including one imported case and the rest with local transmission.

The balance of people infected with the new coronavirus reached 4,051 cases. The distribution of COVID-19 cases after spreading in districts looks as follows: Chisinau - 22, Cahul and Glodeni -7, Balti - 6, Dubasari - 5, Hancesti and Orhei- 4, Edinet - 3, Basarabeasca, Cantemir, Comrat, Falesti, Floresti, Ocnita, Vulcanesti - one case. At the same time, another seven cases of COVID-19 infection were confirmed today in the Transnistrian region, the total number of people infected in this region is 467.

In total, 1,334 people were treated and 124 died from COVID-19.
